AS A LIFELONG Knicks fan, I’m pretty much at peak happiness (although that may be contingent on the status of Mitchell Robinson’s pinky). The team secured its spot in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 and against the same opponent, nonetheless. The Knicks are set to match up with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday (a rematch of this season’s NBA Cup final as well, which the Knicks won). While I ordered my finals swag about 30 seconds after New York finished off the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, I realize not everyone is as psychotic as I am.
You also don’t have to drop a cool $100 on two limited editions as I did. I’ve been looking to re-up on Knicks gear the past few weeks, and found some pretty budget-friendly options for both Spurs and Knicks fans on Amazon. I’ve also found some more, err, “evergreen” swag that’s not finals-specific, but drives the point home nonetheless. If you don’t want to pull a Joe Namath and guarantee a Finals win, we’d suggest going this route. I rounded up some of my favorite gear for both sides—retro hats, hoodies, and NBA Jam-inspired shirts—to get you prepared for the home stretch. Four more wins, baby.

Official locker room shirts are still available, but time is running out. The matching snapback sold out quickly the first time around, but it looks like it’s now back in stock. If you want to hedge your bet a little, you can opt for a ’70s throwback Championship hat (yes, it’s been that long) from New Era. You can always rock the classic logo hat, and a couple are available on Amazon. The traditional royal blue from New Era will cost a bit more, but you can also get a budget-friendly black option from ZHATS. Two-day shipping also helps.
The retro-inspired Knicks Starter Jacket from Homage has been sold out for months (I’ve been trying to get it since January), but Alpha Industries’ NBA collab Knicks bomber is a solid alternative. If you want a real ‘90s look—and throw some love towards JB—the Jalen Brunson NBA Jam shirt is a must-have. There’s also one featuring Jalen and Josh Hart for fans of The Roomates podcast. Or a fan of Josh Hart in general. I fall mostly in the latter. Love the hustle.
