- REI’s Member Days sale features exclusive savings for REI Co-op members.
- Members can save 20 percent off one full-price item and an additional 20 percent off already-marked-down Outlet items.
- The sale runs from March 13 through March 23, and we highlighted how to get a lifetime membership at virtually no cost.
WARMER WEATHER IS so close we can almost taste it. And we’re here for it. With the changing season comes changes to our wardrobes, and now is as good a time as any for a refresh. Spring savings are officially here, and REI is leading the charge. The retailer just announced its Member Days sale, which will run from March 13 to the 23. In addition to its typical outlet deals, REI Co-op members can nab exclusive 20 percent savings on a full-price item, as well as an extra 20% off an online outlet item of their choice.
We’re seeing some of our favorite brands, including Brooks, Hoka, Patagonia, and Arc’teryx, get in on the action, with savings up to 52 percent. While this isn’t Anniversary Sale-level discounts (you’ll have to wait until May for that), it’s pretty damn close. There’s plenty to love here, especially when it comes to running shoes, shorts, and packs. Not a member? No sweat. Sign-up is easy and essentially pays for itself. We’ll walk you through how to do it below, but in the meantime, we highlighted some of our favorite deals below. We also outlined all the ways you can save, to save yourself a little scrolling.

Our Favorite REI Member Days Deals
Most of us are Co-op members here, so this sale is near and dear to our hearts. The massive influx of editor-approved gear also helps. The Hoka Clifton 10, our favorite walking shoe, is now 20 percent off in a few of the brand’s most popular colorways. One of our all-time favorite rain jackets, the Arc’teryx Beta SL, is now $200 off and at the lowest price we’ve seen all year. The editor-tested and recommended “splurge” option is now a little more reasonable.
One of our best-tested workout shirts, the Vuori Strato Tech tee, is also over 20 percent off, while the lightweight yet warm Patagonia Houdini Jacket (a fantastic outdoor running jacket) is 30 percent off and now under $80.
Other editor-approved outdoor gear deals include 25 percent off the slimmed-down, yet shockingly roomy Osprey Stratos 34 Pack, nearly 40 percent off Marmot’s lightweight Always Summer 40 Sleeping Bag, and over 20 percent off what we consider the best-looking gym shorts on the market, the Vuori Kore Short.

How to Become an REI Co-op Member
If you want to enhance your savings even further, you can always opt for an REI Co-op Membership. If you’re a regular at REI, it’s a must-have; if you’re not, the savings can still be worth it for a single purchase.
The lifetime membership requires a single $30 payment, but with purchases over $50, you’ll receive a $30 bonus card for your next order. This, of course, doesn’t include all of the benefits of the program, including 10 percent giveback on eligible purchases year-over-year, free shipping coupons, sales on equipment servicing and gear rentals, member pricing on classes and events, and much more. And in this case, the Member Days sale makes it a no-brainer; you’d actually be leaving money on the table by not signing up. Especially if you’re looking at a big ticket purchase.
