Nike Training Club

Free

“If you’re looking for a free fitness app that includes many workouts you can sort by muscle group, difficulty level, and duration, Nike Training Club is a great choice,” Nelson says. Find live and on-demand yoga, core and strength routines, home workouts, and quick-hit routines that can be done in under 20 minutes. With new workouts added every week, you won’t get bored.

“Although they don’t have periodized strength programs you can follow anymore, the app does have cool features, such as connecting to your Apple Watch and Apple Music,” Nelson says.

Plus, Nike Training Club recently launched a batch of classes on Netflix (with more to come in 2023), so subscribers can stream the workouts right from their TV, tablet, or computer.

FitOn

Free with in-app purchases

FitOn is MacPherson’s top recommendation for a free workout app. “All workouts and plans are free, and you can choose from strength training, yoga, HIIT, prenatal, and more,” she says.

Classes are led by celebrities like Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union, and cover a range of intensity levels and durations (from 5 minutes to 35 minutes or more). “The instructors provide modifications for people of different fitness levels as well, so you can choose a specific intensity, but still expect to have modifications available for your level,” MacPherson says.

The app also offers articles and guides that cover healthy eating, meal planning, sleep, meditation, and more.

Upgrade to a FitOn PRO subscription ($29.99 per year) to receive personalized meal plans, exclusive recipes, unlimited downloads, and premium music selections.

Editor’s Note: Lose It! is owned by the Everyday Health Group.
