AMAZON’S RESALE SECTION—formerly known as the Amazon Warehouse—is one of the best-kept secrets on the internet. We all know that Amazon is loaded with great savings each and every day, but if you want to go a layer deeper, Amazon Resale is the perfect place to land everyday deals on health tech, electronics, outdoor gear, and even gently used apparel.
Whether you’re thrifty, frugal, love a bargain hunt, or somewhere in between, Amazon’s Warehouse is certainly worth digging through. Think of it as the e-commerce staple’s own version of a yard sale—chock-full of second-hand treasures to sift through. Unlike a traditional garage sale, though, these products are mostly barely used, typically of the open-box returned variety. Not to mention the fact that it’s littered with premium brands like Ninja, Blackstone, DeWalt, Coleman, and more.

What Is Amazon Resale?
Amazon’s hidden deals section, formerly marketed as Amazon Warehouse, utilizes a 20-point quality assurance test and categorizes products based on metrics such as functionality, appearance, and packaging condition. This allows you to know precisely the type of condition you’re getting your gently used gear in. And don’t let the second-hand nature of some of these products fool you: Many of them are open-box returns or lightly used products that Amazon has refurbished. The steep discounts, in reality, don’t necessarily reflect just how perfect the condition of some of these items is.
Amazon, of course, is also super transparent about the condition of every item after it goes through the quality assurance stage. The following categories thoroughly detail the condition each product is in:
Used – Like New: The item is fully functional and contains all its essential accessories. The packaging may have some light damage, but the item is close to brand new, totally functional, and refurbished.
Used – Very Good: The product is still in fantastic condition and fully functional. However, it may have seen some gentle use from the packaging. It may have some minor cosmetic damage and be missing some non-essential items, which will be noted in the product listing.
Used – Good: The product has moderate usage and shows a little bit more wear and tear. The package may be damaged, or the item may have been completely repackaged. In this case, some key accessories may also be missing.
Used – Acceptable: The product exhibits noticeable wear but remains fully functional. It may contain a bit more cosmetic damage and/or light wear and tear. Essential and non-essential accessories may also be missing, but will be listed as such under the product listing.
Used – As-is: The item shows extensive cosmetic damage and/or wear and tear. It can still perform its main functions, as listed, but may be missing some valuable components. It also may or may not work properly unless said items are purchased separately. The full condition of the item will be shown in the product listing.
You may be wondering why you haven’t organically come across Amazon Resale throughout your many hours browsing Amazon. Well, for starters, you probably have. You can see resale options on product listings when you scroll to the “Other sellers on Amazon” section. But if you want to go to the Resale landing page to canvass all of their offerings, you’ll have to click on the main drop-down menu on Amazon’s homepage and toggle between different categories to search from. If you’re looking for something specific, there is a separate search function in the Resale section. Another cool perk is that you don’t have to be a Prime Member (although we highly recommend it). These secret savings are available to the general public.
For those uneasy about trying something secondhand (or in some cases, pseudo-secondhand) on Amazon, there’s some baked-in protection. If you’re unsatisfied with your purchase, Amazon also offers a free replacement within the first 30 days. So there isn’t much inherent risk when browsing the deals section—other than, perhaps, overindulging just a smidge.
