LAST WEEK, I was hiking in Zion National Park and had a revelation. As I stood at the bottom of Angel’s Landing—widely considered the most dangerous and deadliest trail in the US—I wondered to myself if I’d be man enough to make it all the way to the top (I wasn’t).
