WE’RE HUGE FANS of the criminally underrated Amazon outdoor gear section, but calling it a section is a bit of a stretch. As the resident deals guy around these parts, I spend hours relentlessly searching for some of Amazon’s best outdoor finds. If you don’t know where to look, though, it can take even longer.
Amazon, seemingly out of nowhere, just made our lives easier—at least for a week. The e-tailer just announced what is essentially a surprise sale: the Amazon Autumn Adventure Shop Event. Deals will run from September 21 through September 28 and feature some of the biggest brands in outdoor gear and apparel, such as The North Face, Carhartt, Osprey, and even Apple.

What Is the Amazon Autumn Adventure Shop Event?
It’s a one-week event dedicated to all things fall. For those who live the polar opposite of a sedentary lifestyle during the brisker months, this unexpected sale is one to bookmark, as it has everything fall-coded, from outdoor apparel to gear and tech, that one might need.
In the Adventure Shop, shoppers can enjoy curated collections over a variety of specific categories, like Hiking, Camping, Fishing, Hunting, Cycling, and more. If you’re an avid fan of the latter, you can also take advantage of complimentary bike assembly on select Canyon, Pacific, Mongoose, and Kulana models. Additionally, you can take 50 percent off bike assembly on qualifying Schwinn bikes.
Amazon is also offering a first-of-its-kind 3D campsite experience in the Amazon Beyond store, providing shoppers with a totally brand new virtual shopping experience chock-full of stunning visuals, interactive content, and more.
In short, unlike other Amazon events, this isn’t just about the savings—it’s about the experience, too.

How Long Does the Event Last?
As mentioned, the Amazon Autumn Adventure Shop launches 9/21 at 12pm ET and runs through Sunday, 9/28. With Prime Big Deal Days just around the corner, we don’t expect Amazon to extend the event. Then again, crazier things have happened.
Will This Be an Annual Event?
The short answer: We don’t know; this is its first run, so there’s very little intel on the future of the event. My gut tells me, though, that it’s not the last we’ll be seeing a curated event like this in some capacity. Amazon has been integrating new seasonal sales, such as the Amazon Big Spring Sale, over the past few years, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see them running it back. While the short notice and proximity to Prime Big Deal Days raise some questions, the specificity of the Adventure Shop gives us hope. Guess we’ll have to stay tuned.
