• Amazon officially announced the dates for its fall Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days.
  • The two-day savings event will take place from October 7 and run through midnight, October 8.
  • We’re already seeing savings on editor-tested products from Apple, Yeti, Brooks, Garmin, and more.

AMAZON’S PRIME DAY is over 10 years old this year. I’ve been covering Prime Day (and Amazon) deals since the very first one in the summer of 2015, and figuring out which deals are actually worth it and which are simply a rouse has become something I’m well steeped in by now. I will say that each year since the first Prime Day, Amazon has gone bigger and (mostly) better with the deals in some fashion. Which brings us to the recent announcement that Prime Big Deal Days will take place October 7-8 this year. Also known as Prime Day 2 or October Prime Day, this is when Amazon kicks off the holiday shopping season ahead of November.

SHOP EARLY AMAZON PRIME DAY DEALS

While it might feel a bit like shopping holidays have extended to the entire year nowadays, last year’s Prime Day 2 produced some pretty legit savings: the first discount on the then-new Apple Watch Series 10, the lowest price ever for the AirPods Pro 2, a significant price drop for a boatload of Yeti coolers and drinkware, and the lowest price on the Apple Ultra 2. And even though we’re still a couple weeks out, I’ve already found some significant deals like 20% off a Yeti cooler, the biggest discount ever on our best electric razor, $30 off our top-tested smart scale, and quite a few others.

While we’re sure to see more early Prime Day deals, stay tuned as the savings begin to rule out and truly kick off on October 7. Here are the 50+ best early deals that are worth jumping on now.

SHOP EARLY AMAZON PRIME DAY DEALS

What Is Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days?

We know this is a bit of a tongue twister, so we like to simply call the event “Big Deal Days.” Or, really, Prime Day 2 or October Prime Day. The two-day savings event is essentially the Fall equivalent of Amazon’s Prime Day, designed to kick off the holiday shopping season.

Amazon has been experimenting with a few sales outside of its typical Prime Day/Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale cycle. They’ve also introduced the Big Spring Sale in recent years, which serves a similar function to Big Deal Days—providing Prime users with sales to kick off the advent of a new season. These new tentpole sales also seem to serve as a buffer between Prime Day and the holiday season. In other words, Amazon is giving you a few opportunities to score some of its biggest savings.

How Long Is Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days?

Historically, this has been a two-day event. However, the same could be said about Prime Day, but this year, Amazon upped the ante to four full days. We’re not sure if they’re going to follow suit this time around, but it’s certainly something to keep our eyes on.

Do I Need to be a Prime Member?

The short answer is: yes. That’s why Amazon shoehorns “Prime” into the name—not just a concerted effort to make it as difficult to announce as possible. You can still, technically, shop certain deals without a Prime discount, but the steepest savings will come courtesy of Amazon Prime.

The good news for those without Prime: Amazon typically offers a free 30-day trial to access Prime Day deals. Once your trial has ended, you can either continue your membership for $14.99 per month or $139 annually upfront, or cancel it altogether.
