WE’RE JUST A FEW days out from the unofficial start of summer, and with the warm weather comes an influx of sales. Memorial Day sales are in full swing, and while hot new deals continue to circulate, one staple sale remains unchanged—the Filson Outlet Sale. The outdoor outfitter has once again upped the ante, discounting dozens of T-shirts, pants, shorts, and jackets up to an outrageous 70 percent.
We found similar savings during Filson’s April sale, but with one key difference—we were amid transitional weather, and many of Filson’s top layering gear was still ready for prolonged use here on the East Coast. Now, we’re seeing plenty of new spring and summer styles on sale just ahead of the heat. It’s not every day we find warm-weather-specific sales right at the start of the summer, but Filson has no issues slashing prices on some of its seasonal classics right before Memorial Day. Of course, we also had to highlight some of our favorite layering options for next season, too, with staples like the Filson Tin Cloth Short Lined Cruiser Jacket and the Denim Short Cruiser Jacket at the top of our list, as these styles won’t be going anywhere, anytime soon. Might as well stock up while the getting is good.
Anyway, you can check the sale out for yourself and see what Filson has to offer before the summer gets underway. Who knows—you might just find a few things you can’t live without. We certainly did.

As mentioned, the Filson Tin Cloth Short Lined Cruiser Jacket (in select colors) and the Denim Short Cruiser Jacket are on sale for a limited time at 40 and 50 percent off, respectively. It’s never too early to stock up on the classics, which are both available at great prices. The Beartooth Robe, another Filson staple, is also currently 40 percent off, and just over $250.
When it comes to the aforementioned warm-weather gear, there’s no shortage of deals either. The Filson Rustic Short Sleeve Camp Shirt—a classic summer shirt—is now 60 percent off. The Filson X Ten Thousand Tactical Shirt, a durable, versatile option for training or casual wear, is now 40 percent off and under $50 for the first time in what feels like quite some time.
Some super lightweight, breezy summer shirts are also available for 70 percent off. The comfy Short Sleeve Lightweight Alaskan Guide Shirt and the ever-stylish Filson’s Washed Short Sleeve Feather Cloth Shirt are now $37 and $29, respectively. Keep in mind, these are both shirts that typically retail at $125 and $100.
Filson’s Swiftwater Rain Pants, a solid pants option for all four seasons, are currently 40 percent off. The lightweight yet durable Filson X Ten Thousand Tactical Shorts, which we love as bonafide training gear, are also discounted by 40 percent and just around $50. The sturdy yet stylish Granite Mountain Pull-On Shorts are now 70 percent off, and if you’re in the market for some new swim trunks, the Cooper Lake Trunks are 60 percent off and now under $40.
We also can’t forget about Filson’s top-of-the-line gear. There are some pretty insane sales on packs. For starters, the rugged, spacious 36L Surveyor Backpack is now 50 percent off and a little over $100. The 25L iteration, which is more in line with everyday, practical needs like school and work, is also 50 percent off and just $75. The ultra-convenient Filson Tin Cloth Fishing Pack is now 30 percent off, and the popular Surveyor Messenger Bag is also half off and under $100.
Don’t just listen to us—you can shop the full sale below and see for yourself. Chances are, though, you already found a few things that tickle your fancy. Of course, it’s not all that difficult when it comes to discounted Filson gear.
