REI’S SALE SECTION always manages to impress us. Even outside the retailer’s major tentpole sales, there are plenty of deals to be had—you just have to do a little digging. Fortunately for you, I already spent hours down the REI Outlet rabbit hole, and you’ll be pleased to hear that there are some newly marked-down steals. Like, a lot of them.
It appears the outdoor company is gearing up for fall, and there are some killer markdowns on forward-facing seasonal apparel, packs, and camping accessories. I’m also seeing rare deals on brands that rarely go on sale (you know who you are, Yeti), and it’s the perfect time for an autumn-inspired refresh. You’ll also find plenty of editor-approved gear we’ve covered extensively on Men’s Health from premium brands like Brooks, Hoka, and Patagonia. So, yeah, color me stoked.

While the sale isn’t fall-specific, there are some great cooler-weather styles. One of my all-time favorite flannels, the Free Country Easywear II Flannel Shirt, is now 34 percent off. It perfectly captures the outdoor, rugged aesthetic, yet the shirt is soft, comfy, and perfect for casual wear, outdoor adventuring, or both.
One of our favorite jackets, the Arc’teryx Atom Insulated Hoody, is also 40 percent off just ahead of the soon-to-be chilly weather. Now under $200 in select colors and sizes, the performance stretch hoody features high-grade synthetic insulation, yet is lightweight and breathable. This is the perfect in-between-season option.
